Roots blower, also known as Roots blower, is a volume-rotary blower for compressing or delivering air under two or three blade type rotors’ relative movement. The roots blower fan is of simple structure and easy manufacturing. It is suitable for air delivery or compressing at low pressure condition, mainly used in aquaculture, waste water treatment, pneumatic conveying, desulfuration and oxidation, cement, chemical, casting and flour filed like building waste water treatment, factory waste water treatment, fishing, bath foaming, furnace combustion, electroplating pool stirring, washing back, particles transportation, foods vacuum package.

Working principle

Roots blower is a volume type fan, air flow is proportional to revolution. Every time the three-blade impeller rotates, the two impellers will intake for three times and exhaust. Compared to two-blade type, the three-blade type roots blower has advantages of less air pulsation, high mechanical strength, low noise and weak vibration.

There are two impellers on the two parallel shafts. There is always a slime space among the impellers, and inner hole surface of the casing.

Due to the reverse constant revolution of the impellers, a certain amount of air surrounded by the casing and the impeller is transferred from the inlet side to the outlet side.

At the moment when rotors top is open to the outlet, the high pressure air at the outlet is compressed reversly, which forms the fan noise. The screw type blower is designed to eliminate the noise .Structure is below.

A rotor:on inlet side, the whole rotor is open, and is to close. On outlet side, it is under grandually open state and the opening is more than half.

B rotor: inlet side is under circulating closing state which is close to fully closed.The outlet side is about to open.

A rotor: inlet side is under closing state compared to Fig.1,the triangluar hole indicated by the oblique line is gradually smaller, while the outlet side is under totally air exhausted state.

B rotor: on inlet side, it is about to reach the casing shiedling line; on the outlet side, it is under air-exhausting state, and the triangular is to open gradually.
